Position Summary
The Technical Sales Representative is a key revenue-generating role within AGL On-Site Solutions and its HireAir division, responsible for driving growth across compressed air equipment sales, air treatment systems, installations, rental solutions, and service programs. This role is designed for a hunter-minded, self-starting sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is motivated to help scale a high-growth start-up. The position requires strong technical aptitude, the ability to understand compressed air system design, and a consultative sales approach rooted in customer partnership. The representative works independently and reports directly to the General Manager (remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Generate direct revenue through equipment sales, rental agreements, installations, and service programs.
- Prospect daily to identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to meet sales targets.
- Consult with customers to assess compressed air system needs and recommend solutions.
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies.
- Promote all AGL/HireAir products, including compressors, dryers, controls, accessories, rentals, and service plans.
- Conduct on-site evaluations, air audits, and system analysis.
- Collaborate with service and installation teams for project execution.
- Maintain long-term customer relationships and provide after-sales support.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive positioning.
- Prepare estimates and ensure accuracy of scoping and pricing.
- Maintain CRM records, update pipeline status, and report activity to the General Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; technical or engineering background an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial sales experience.
- Experience with compressed air or mechanical systems preferred.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial approach suitable for a start-up environment.

Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the General Manager (remote).
